What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team and ensuring that daily farm operations run smoothly. Your tasks will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining the greenhouse environment
- Harvesting seedlings and preparing crops
- Mixing and applying fertilizers following farm guidelines
- Implementing soil fertility programs to optimize yield
- Following and enforcing farm safety and biosecurity protocols
- Hiring, training, and supervising staff – managing teams of up to 20 or more
- Operating and maintaining farm equipment and machinery
- Handling general farm duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in agriculture, a keen eye for detail, and leadership skills that inspire productivity and teamwork. Here’s what you’ll need to bring to the table:
- Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Education: No formal education required
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in an agricultural or related field
- Supervisory Skills: Experience managing teams of 16–20+ workers
- Communication: Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork: Able to collaborate with others and lead by example
- Organization: Well-organized, efficient, and able to multitask

Machinery & Equipment Experience Required:
- Carrot and onion seeders
- Onion transplanters
- Fruit and vegetable harvesters
- Forklifts

Working Conditions
This role is physically demanding and fast-paced, so it’s important that you’re comfortable working in different weather conditions and on your feet for long hours. Here’s what to expect:
- Physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and walking
- Long hours with a mix of sitting, standing, and moving around the farm
