Frequently asked questions

What is a good CRS score for Express Entry in 2026?

In 2026, all-program draws have had CRS cutoffs between 480 and 510. A score above 500 is competitive for most draw types. PNP-specific draws have higher cutoffs (700+) because nominees receive an additional 600 bonus points.

How is the CRS score calculated?

Your CRS score considers core human capital factors (age, education, language proficiency, Canadian and foreign work experience), your spouse’s profile if applicable, skill transferability bonuses, and additional points for a provincial nomination (+600), valid job offer, or Canadian study experience. The maximum possible score is 1,200.

Which province is easiest to immigrate to through PNP?

Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Atlantic provinces — New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland — typically have lower score thresholds and accept candidates with lower CRS scores or specific work experience, making them more accessible entry points.
