What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cutting Department Foreman/Woman, you’ll be responsible for managing daily operations related to fabric cutting and ensuring everything runs like clockwork. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves multitasking, problem-solving, and working closely with your team to meet production goals.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Setting up cutting machines and other equipment before the start of production
• Ordering necessary materials and supplies to keep work flowing
• Training new and existing employees on tasks, safety, and company standards
• Creating and managing work schedules to meet project deadlines
• Coordinating with other departments to streamline operations
• Writing production reports and suggesting ways to improve efficiency
• Supervising, scheduling, and evaluating team performance

You’ll also be expected to supervise up to 4 individuals, including:

• Weavers, knitters, and other textile workers
• Dyeing and finishing machine operators
• Yarn and fibre preparation machine operators
• Sewing machine operators and fabric inspectors
• Labourers in textile processing and leather goods manufacturing
