What You’ll Be Doing

As a Press Helper, you’ll be a crucial part of the team ensuring the smooth operation of the printing plant. From moving materials to supporting machine operators, your role will be dynamic and physical. Here’s what a typical day might involve:

• Operate powered equipment to move materials within the plant
• Manually handle raw materials, finished products, and machinery parts
• Check, sort, weigh, and package products for shipping
• Support machine operators and assembly line workers as needed
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe

This is a hands-on role that requires a solid work ethic and the ability to stay focused in a busy, sometimes noisy environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who’s not only physically capable but also a strong communicator and a dependable team player. Here’s what we’re hoping you bring to the table:

• Fluent in French (essential for workplace communication)
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar or related industry
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
• Dependable, punctual, and a natural team player
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Good eye for detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination
• Leadership potential and a willingness to learn

Working Conditions to Expect

This role isn’t for the faint of heart — it’s physical and at times challenging, but also rewarding for the right person. The work environment includes:

• Exposure to odours, dust, heat, and loud machinery
• Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks
• Handling heavy materials daily

You’ll be working in a traditional printing plant/factory setting, where safety and efficiency are key. Steel-toed boots are a must!
