About the Position
This is a full-time, permanent position approved by LMIA, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at our facility located at 7024 Kilbourne Rd, London, ON. The successful candidate will work closely with our design, engineering, and production teams to bring new ideas to life and enhance our lineup of consumer-focused products.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our next Industrial Designer, you’ll be deeply involved in the design process — from the initial concept stage to prototyping and final production. Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day:
- Develop and present original design concepts, illustrations, and storyboards
- Use CAD and CAID tools like SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and functionality of product designs
- Conduct research on materials, manufacturing techniques, and cost analysis
- Stay on top of the latest design trends and attend industry trade shows
- Use 3D printing for prototyping and preparing final designs for manufacturing
- Work on consumer products with a focus on furniture and outdoor décor
Who We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who’s artistic, technically skilled, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Here are the key qualifications and personal traits we’re seeking:
- College diploma or CEGEP certificate in industrial design, or equivalent experience
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in consumer products or furniture design
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Proficient in design software: Adobe Photoshop, SolidWorks, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Autodesk Inventor
- Strong portfolio showcasing your illustration and design work
- Excellent time management with the ability to juggle multiple projects
- Team-oriented, dependable, detail-focused, and able to solve problems quickly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience working with manufacturing teams and understanding of material selection
- Ability to articulate design concepts and client feedback clearly

This is a hands-on role in a busy, creative environment. You’ll need to be comfortable with repetitive tasks at times, and you’ll be expected to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. Attention to detail and a calm, solutions-first attitude will serve you well here.
