What You’ll Be Doing
As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting both patients and the clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up medical equipment
- Helping with equipment repairs and maintenance
- Assisting with patient care tasks like bathing, feeding, and mobility
- Checking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Weighing, lifting, turning, and helping position patients safely
- Escorting patients between facilities or departments, including by wheelchair or stretcher
- Delivering messages, lab samples, and documentation throughout the clinic
- Supervising patients’ exercise routines as directed by physios
- Monitoring supply inventory and restocking as needed
- Responding to patient call signals promptly and compassionately
- Administering first aid in emergency situations
