What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on role that involves a variety of tasks to support the food processing line. You’ll be working in a busy, fast-paced environment, and you’ll need to be comfortable handling repetitive tasks while staying focused on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies throughout the facility
• Measure and load ingredients into mixing and grinding machines
• Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to build containers
• Remove packaged items from conveyors and pack them into containers manually
• Feed and unload products from food processing machines
• Inspect items and packaging for basic quality control
• Assist machine operators and process control staff as needed
• Clean equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards

What You’ll Need to Succeed

This position doesn’t require a formal education, but some experience in a similar role is definitely a plus. More importantly, you’ll need a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Job Requirements

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• No formal education required – training will be provided
• Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is an asset
• Physically capable of lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
• Reliable, punctual, and cooperative in a team setting

Work Environment and Conditions

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the day. You’ll be working in a food and beverage processing plant, which includes both warm and refrigerated areas. It’s important to be comfortable with the physical nature of the job and the environment.

• Temperature-controlled areas (hot and cold)
• Stand for long periods
• Fast-paced, busy production floor

Other Considerations

• Must have your own transportation to the job site in Richmond
• Comfortable doing repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads
